Honda Launches CBR250R in ‘Tri Color Pearl Heron Blue’

One of the 7 launches we have reported from Honda also constituted a refreshed version of their 250cc sports bike – CBR250R. Honda has launched a new sporty Tri-color Pearl Heron Blue color to refresh the already good looking bike.

In this new color a combo of blue and white is made with a touch of red in it. The upper part ie the upper half fairing along with the tank is blue in color. Whereas the remaining part of the fairing as well as the rear cowls are white in color. Red color stickers run through the body and the front mudguard is also red in color.

  • The motorcycle would remain unchanged apart from the new color
  • The new color would be available in both the Standard variant and the Combined ABS variant
  • No mention of any price difference mentioned by Honda. But I expect this color might be slightly charged a premium.
  • Addition of this color takes the total color options for CBR250R to 4.
  • The new color will be available at Honda showrooms from February 2012.

CBR250R would be available in the following color options after the launch of this color:

  1. Candy Ruby Red x Accurate Silver Metallic
  2. Sword Silver Metallic x Accurate Silver Metallic
  3. Asteroid Black Metallic x Accurate Silver Metallic
  4. Tri Color Pearl Heron Blue

If you ask me I would still prefer the red + silver combo among all the other colors. In this new blue color the bike doesn't feel as big as it actually is. If you haven't seen the new color, check it out now.

And the Mojo Resurfaces at the Auto Expo 2012

Posted: 09 Jan 2012 12:59 PM PST

Original Source: And the Mojo Resurfaces at the Auto Expo 2012 from BikeAdvice.in

Mahindra two wheelers, after testing the waters, decided not to take the Mojo project ahead as it was when first displayed while unveiling their 100cc mass market Stallio back in end 2010. After being kept under the veil for so long, Mojo was yet again showcased at the Auto Expo 2012 and looked absolutely the same when it was first brought into picture.

While Mahindra made it clear that Mojo was a prototype model once at the media test ride ceremony conducted for the Duro DZ (DX that time) at Lavassa near Pune. It was once again made apparent at the Auto Expo that Mojo had been going through finesse and would further go more changes to meet all the challenges which would lie ahead of this 'love me hate me' looking bike.

While I feel Mojo would have been the best when it would have been launched the time it was first showcased, it would have gained the first mover advantage along with its long list of impressive features.

Now after the launch of some breathtaking models in this premium segment, it would definitely make life tougher for Mojo especially after coming from a manufacturer who is yet to prove its mettle in the motorcycle segment.

Till the time we bring you more news about Mojo, enjoy its pics from the expo. - Saad Khan

Original Source: Bajaj Auto to Launch KTM Duke 200 on 24th January from BikeAdvice.in

We had only one question in our mind at Delhi Auto Expo 2012, where is new Pulsar and KTM Duke at Bajaj Auto stall? It was sheer disappointment that Bajaj Auto did not showcase its KTM Duke 200 and next generation Pulsar. However, this does not mean that the company does not have new products for 2012. In fact the company did not showcase the KTM Duke 200 and Pulsar in order to gain larger attention afterwards. Bajaj Auto is all set to launch KTM Duke 200 on 24th January, 2012 in Delhi. Bajaj Auto is converting all its Pro biking showrooms into KTM inspired showrooms as a part of pre launch preparation. Apart from this Bajaj Auto has also included KTM link on its website and KTM did the same thing, including KTM India page on its website.

KTM Duke 200 is powered by 199.6 cc, four-stroke, Single cylinder, liquid cooled, 4 Valve DOHC engine which generates maximum power of 25.47 bhp (19 KW) @ 10,000 rpm and maximum torque of 19.93Nm (14.7 foot-pound) @ 6,800 rpm. KTM Duke 200 is very light weight and generates power to weight ratio of 200bhp/ton (Dry Weight).  It has Chromium-Molybdenum trellis frame with steel sub frame, Bosh fuel injection system and a compact three chamber silencer. KTM Duke 200cc has top notch quality parts with a high performance engine

KTM Duke 200 is a first bike from KTM to be launched in India by Bajaj Auto. It has been jointly developed by Bajaj Auto and KTM of Austria. The bike is produced at Chakan plant of Bajaj Auto. Bajaj Auto has nearly 40% stake in KTM. The company has a very big plan for KTM Duke 200. It is expected to be launched in the price range of 1.2 -1.4 lacs.

Apart from this KTM Duke 200 launch will be followed by next generation Pulsar and next generation Pulsar launch will be followed by an entire 100% new motorcycle. As far as 2012 is concern we will see very exciting launches from Bajaj Auto.

Original Source: Auto Expo 2014 Could be 2 days Longer! from BikeAdvice.in

The Auto Expo fever is all over the nation as all the bike and car lovers are rushing to get a glimpse of their favorite cars and bikes. The Auto expo hasn't yet wrapped up and there is great news coming our way for the Auto Expo 2014. The news is that the organizers have decided to extend the duration of next auto expo by as much as 2 days. The extension still need to be finalized and it is amid speculation at this point of time but this decision surfaced up amid all the chaos from the crowds attending the expo over mismanagement.  The organizing committee is contemplating to extend the next auto expo upon the increasing interests of automobile enthusiasts.

The organizing committee's chairmen Rajiv Kaul was of the opinion that the committee is looking to extend the fair by one to two days. He also said that the final decision as regards extension would lie with exhibitors as extension would mean increased cost to them.

He was also of the opinion that one day should be reserved for media with no extra passes on that one day. The 11th auto expo is organized by SIAM (society of Indian Automobiles Manufacturers), CII (Confederation of Indian industry) and ACMA (Automotive content manufacturing association). Despite of presence of such big names in the organizing committee, crowd management remained a challenge and thus this proposal has surfaced up.

The organizers said that the crowd management is one of the hardest things to do and thus they have taken some steps like putting a cap on the visitor count and reducing the exhibition space by almost 10,000 sq mts so that the visitors could walk freely without creating any sort of a chaos. Eventually it turned out that the remedies opted weren't just good enough and thus we may see the expo going on an extension of couple of days next time. Well we hope that the organizers and the exhibitors come to terms with this extension and we get to see more of this amazing event.
